Independent Schools & High Schools

Our boarding schools

Exchange students at Boarding Schools in the USA experience a unique time. The boarding schools differ significantly from the public high schools. Not only because you live on campus. The quality is different.

Our quality standards

Through our regular road trips and 40 years of experience we know our way around. We know where you will be happy

The quality of academic education

First, the quality of academic education is different. The exchange student attends very small classes with an average of around 15 students. This allows the teacher to respond very individually to each student. The teacher can intensively pay attention to the talents of the exchange student, for example. As a result, these talents are promoted individually. In addition, the equipment of the school is different. The curriculum and the admission of students is determined by the boarding schools themselves. These schools are called Independent Schools.

The quality in sporting, artistic, musical and also social direction

Secondly the quality in sporting, artistic, musical and also social direction is different. The sports facilities and their coaches are fantastic. The equipment of the high schools in theatres and the built-in technology is unique. Global Horizons USA has a network of schools and partners in the USA. Since we have visited all schools personally several times, we know their strengths and needs.

Would you like to practice a particular sport? Do you like acting, singing, dancing or drawing? Great! We do our best to make this possible. Since we only accept a limited number of students into our program, we can place exchange students individually according to their preferences. This is unique and we are experts in this field, #HighSchoolExperts.  It is important to us that you can live out your talents, hobbies and interests at your new school in the best possible way.

The quality of life

Thirdly, the quality of life is special. All students live on campus, in the boarding school. Getting used to life is very easy. This gives you 24/7 contact to the other students. You work out, make music, live, compete and learn together. We pay attention to a special atmosphere on campus. The exchange student does not only get to know the US-American culture. You make friendships with students from different cultural backgrounds at the school. This promotes international understanding and tolerance among the exchange students.
